Starfish (Rifters Trilogy) by Peter Watts Download PDF EPUB FB2

Starfish is a book about family, and identity, and finding hope in a world that often makes it difficult. But its also a story about how necessary the truth can be. I know what it feels like to be afraid to tell your story, and what it feels like to keep your fears bottled up in your heart/5(K).

Starfish is for the most part a taut psychological thriller rather than an alien contact or monster story, and it definitely keeps up the level of tension pretty much throughout the book. It was my first book by Canadian author Peter Watts, but won't be my last.4/5.

Parents need to know that Starfish is a heartbreaking yet empowering coming-of-age story about Kiko Himura, a biracial year-old girl who uses art to explore her identity and chart her journey to self-acceptance and independence.

Emotional abuse, sexual abuse, and neglect feed into Kiko's extreme social anxiety and self-esteem issues. One of her family 4/5. My favorite aspect of Starfish, aside from the wonderfully paced plot, is the imagery.

It feels like Bowman painted the book with words, precisely and succinctly. The narratives weaves along a sublimely painful struggle, as difficult personal growth often is.

The conclusion is satisfying. The dash of romance is sweet and exactly right/5(). Why you need to read "Being the Starfish". Have you put off reading the book. So did I. I now realize what a big mistake that was. I would be so much further along in building a doTERRA business had I read it when my leader first suggested it/5().

Starfish lit the fuse. Maelstrom was the explosion. But five years into the aftermath, things aren't quite so simple as they once seemed Lenie Clarke--rifter, avenger, amphibious deep-sea cyborg--has destroyed the world.

This novel was a very delightful story. 💗 I was very excited to listen to the Starfish Pier book. Overall 5 out of 5 stars.

Performance 5 out of 5 stars. Story 5 out of 5 stars. Indydog; Excellent. I really like Irene Hannon’s books. Starfish I liked a lot of things about this book.

The characters for example, they were well crafted and lifelike. I liked their chemistry, their connection. The romance wasn't a whirlwind but was more on the slow burn side which was also great.

I very much liked the lyrics of the songs Brad wrote. Starfish is an online program that makes it easier for undergraduate students to communicate and make appointments with support services and faculty on campus.
